The SELFSAT MWR 5550 is a high-performance router that can be powered by either a 12-volt vehicle electrical system or a 230-volt mains connection. It either receives an existing Wi-Fi signal or uses an inserted SIM card to establish a stable mobile network connection. The signal is then provided as a secure, password-protected Wi-Fi network for multiple devices.

Thanks to its dual-SIM functionality, two SIM cards can be used simultaneously – ideal for flexible use at home and abroad. The router is SIM-lock free and compatible with both prepaid and contract SIM cards from various providers.

The MWR 5550 supports 2.4 GHz Wi-Fi as well as 5G and 4G LTE mobile networks. Thanks to MIMO (Multiple In Multiple Out) technology, it can send and receive multiple data packets simultaneously to ensure optimal connection quality.

Setting it up is just as easy as in a hotel or at home. The initial connection is conveniently established via QR code scan or manually using the Wi-Fi name and password. After changing your password, the connection is established using your personally set access code.

The intuitive user interface is optimized for Apple and Android smartphones, tablets and laptops and can be easily operated via the internet browser – no additional app installation is required.
